Volatile liquids transfer apparatus with safety lock
A volatile liquid refueling apparatus, which includes a probe, and a receiver including a dual locking mechanism whereby said apparatus can be locked in either an open position or a closed position, and a safety lock which disables or enables access to the dual locking mechanism when manually.
FLUID DISPENSING DEVICE WITH TAPERED NOZZLE
A fluid dispensing nozzle system including a nozzle body having a fluid path therein and a fluid valve positioned in the fluid path and configured to selectively prevent or allow a flow of fluid through the fluid path. The nozzle further includes a manually operable actuator operatively connectable to the fluid valve, and a spout coupled to the nozzle body, the spout having a cavity to allow fluid flowing through the fluid path to pass through the spout. The spout includes a first segment having a first cross sectional area at at least a portion thereof and a second segment having a second cross sectional area at at least a portion thereof that is different than the first cross sectional area. The first segment has transition portion which transitions along a length thereof from the first cross sectional area at one end thereof to the second cross sectional area at a second opposite end thereof, wherein the first segment is made of a separate piece of material than the second segment.

Method for transferring volatile liquids
A method for transferring volatile liquid from a refueling tank to the fuel tank of an internal combustion device including the steps of providing a volatile liquid refueling apparatus, having a probe including an outer collar and a receiver including a receiving collar, where the outer collar and the receiving collar are configured to join to create a vapor-tight enclosure, installing the receiver in the fuel tank of an internal combustion device, installing the probe in the refueling tank, inserting the probe into the receiver, engaging the receiving collar and the probe outer collar to create a vapor-tight enclosure, transferring volatile liquid from the refueling tank to the fuel tank, and disengaging the probe from the receiver, including sealing the refueling tank and the tank.

Safety joint
A safety joint capable of preventing a moment generated by swinging of a filling hose from acting on the safety joint when a tensile force more or equal to a predetermined value is applied to the filling hose. The safety joint includes a plug with a cylindrical shape in which a passage is formed, a socket in which a passage continuing to the passage in the plug is formed, and a shut off valve mounted on the passage in the socket. The shut off valve opens when the plug is inserted into the socket and closes when the plug is disconnected therefrom. Central axes of the passages of the plug and the socket form a straight line. A filling hose is connected to the plug, and a hose guide for limiting movement of the filling hose at a position separated from the plug.

Fuel nozzle
A fuel dispensing nozzle of a fuel dispensing system comprising a lockout mechanism that prevents the delivery of fuel when the fuel nozzle is not inserted into a fuel reservoir. The fuel dispensing nozzle includes a lookout plunger selectively restrained from movement by a rocker arm. The rocker arm maintains a freely moveable condition or a constrained turn movement condition based on the status of the fuel nozzle.

Dispensing nozzle with drip reduction
A fluid dispensing nozzle including a nozzle body having a fluid path and a suction path therein. The nozzle includes a suction generator configured to generate a suction force in the suction path when fluid to be dispensed flows through the fluid path. The nozzle further includes a shut-off device having a suction chamber fluidly coupled to the suction path. The shut-off device is configured such that when the suction path is blocked during fluid dispensing the shut-off device prevents the nozzle from dispensing fluid through the fluid path. The suction chamber includes a lip extending around a perimeter thereof. An opening is formed in or extends through the lip, the opening providing fluid communication between the suction chamber and the suction path to enable liquid to flow from the suction chamber to the suction path.
