Printed medium manufacturing method, printed medium manufacturing device, and ink
There is provided a printed medium manufacturing method for manufacturing a printed medium by performing printing with ink with respect to a permeable medium, which is a recording medium that permeates the ink, the method including an ink attaching process of attaching the ink to the permeable medium, a pigment fixing process of fixing a pigment in the ink to the permeable medium with a binder resin in the ink by heating the ink attached to the permeable medium in the ink attaching process, and a dye color developing process of causing the permeable medium itself to develop color with the dye in the ink by heating the ink attached to the permeable medium in the ink attaching process.
PRINTING FLUID DRYING ASSEMBLY, METHOD AND SYSTEM
A drying assembly comprises a plurality of electromagnetic energy sources arranged to dry printing fluid deposited onto a surface of a substrate, by evaporation of a solvent fluid therefrom. The drying assembly further comprises a conveyor system configured to move the substrate in a conveying direction, and a focusing system configured to focus electromagnetic energy from the plurality of electromagnetic energy sources to form a non-uniform heating pattern on the surface of the substrate. The non-uniform heating pattern comprises a plurality of spatially separated higher and lower intensity regions distributed along the conveying direction.
CONTACT MEMBER, DRYING APPARATUS, AND PRINTING APPARATUS
(Object) To provide a contact member which prevents a component derived from a liquid composition, from being transferred from a contacted member to a contact member, even in a case where the contact member and the contacted member are used for a long period of time in a manner of being in contact with each other (Means of Achieving the object) A contact member configured to contact a contacted member to which a liquid composition is applied, includes a surface layer (A) configured to contact the contacted member, wherein the surface layer (A) includes a support layer including alumite sulfate, the surface layer (A) has a root mean square height Sq of 1.0 ?m or more, and the surface layer (A) has an orthogonal line roughness ratio of 0.7 or more.
PRINTING APPARATUS
Disclosed is a printing apparatus including a recording head configured to perform printing on a medium that is transported in a transport direction, a guide portion disposed on a downstream side of the recording head in the transport direction and configured to guide the medium, and a first heating unit disposed between the recording head and the guide portion in the transport direction and configured to heat the medium. The guide portion includes a contact member configured to guide the medium by contacting the medium, a coupling portion coupled with the contact member, and a holding unit configured to hold the contact member via the coupling portion. Thermal conductivity of the coupling portion is lower than thermal conductivity of the holding unit.
INK JET RECORDING DEVICE
The present invention relates to an ink-jet printing apparatus that is capable of obtaining printed materials having good appearance while maintaining high quality of printed characters or images even when printed on a resin printing medium using a water-based ink, and an ink-jet printing method. The present invention provides an ink-jet printing apparatus in which when setting a plurality of measuring positions of a printing medium including a position of the printing medium at which the printing medium is wound into a web roll in a web roll heating/supporting mechanism and positions of the printing medium which are respectively located just below a plurality of ink-jet printing heads, a plurality of temperature measuring devices measure temperatures of a surface of the printing medium at the plurality of measuring positions, respectively, and a heating amount control device controls a heating amount of the web roll heating/supporting mechanism and heating amounts of under heaters on the basis of the plural measured temperatures such that a difference between the temperatures measured in a portion of the printing medium to which a tension force is applied falls within the range of 10 C., and an ink-jet printing method using the ink-jet printing apparatus.
PRINTING DEVICE AND PRINTING METHOD
To dry ink using a more appropriate method in a case of performing printing using an ink-jet printer of a line system and the like. A printing device that performs printing using an ink-jet system includes: a conveyance driving unit as a conveyance module that conveys a medium; ink-jet heads; and an ultraviolet ray irradiation unit as an energy irradiation module. A length of the ink-jet heads in a width direction of the medium is larger than a width of a region to be printed. Ink ejected from the ink-jet heads is ink that contains an energy ray absorber and a solvent, the ink being fixed to the medium by evaporating the solvent. The ultraviolet ray irradiation unit irradiates the ink adhering onto the medium with ultraviolet rays to volatilize and remove at least part of the solvent contained in the ink.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND PRINTING METHOD
To suppress the risk of ink bleeding and thereby attain an improved printing quality, a printing apparatus is provided that carries out an inkjet printing operation for a medium. The printing apparatus includes inkjet heads that eject droplets of ink using inkjet technique; and ultraviolet light sources that radiate ultraviolet light. The ink ejected from the inkjet heads contains an ultraviolet absorbent that absorbs ultraviolet light, and a solvent that dissolves or disperses the ultraviolet absorbent. The ejected ink is adherable to the medium and fixable by evaporating the solvent. The ultraviolet light sources irradiate the ink adhered to the medium with ultraviolet light so as to volatilize and remove at least part of the solvent from the ink.
PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes a transport unit that transports a medium in a transport direction by rotating while pinching the medium, a support portion that is disposed on a downstream side of the transport unit in the transport direction and that has a support surface that supports the medium transported by the transport unit, a printing unit that is disposed opposite the support portion and that is capable of printing an image and a mark on the medium, and a detection unit that detects the mark printed on the medium by the printing unit when printing on both surfaces of the medium is performed, where the detection unit is disposed on a downstream side of the transport unit in the transport direction.
Transport device and printing apparatus
A transport device includes a transport section configured to transport a medium, a medium guide section including a guide face for guiding, in a transport direction, the medium in a state of being transported by the transport section, a cover configured to be attached on the guide face, and a storage section configured to store in itself the cover in a state of being detached, and one edge side of the cover is secured to the storage section.
