The contacting unit is coupled to the flow path, and contacts the second surface downstream of the pressing unit and upstream of the cleaning member in the revolving direction of the transporting belt.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CONVEYING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a feeding roll, a feeding motor, a winding roll, a winding motor, a platen, a conveying roller, a sensor, and circuitry. The feeding motor rotates the feeding roll to feed a recording medium wound around the feeding roll. The winding motor rotates the winding roll to wind the recording medium around the winding roll. The platen is disposed between the feeding roll and the winding roll and supports the recording medium that moves between the feeding roll and the winding roll. The conveying roller conveys the recording medium supported by the platen toward the winding roll. The sensor detects an end position of the recording medium in a conveyance direction. The circuitry corrects a feeding amount of the recording medium by the conveying roller with a correction value according to the end position of the recording medium detected by the sensor.
Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes an ejection unit including a nozzle surface configured to eject a liquid droplet, the nozzle surface facing a printing surface of a medium, a transport unit configured to transport the medium in a transport direction, a steam application unit configured to apply steam to the printing surface, the steam application unit being provided upstream of the ejection unit in the transport direction, and a medium compression unit configured to compress the medium, the medium compression unit being provided upstream of the ejection unit in the transport direction and downstream of the steam application unit in the transport direction.
Image-forming apparatus having heater upstream of image former
An image-forming apparatus that can restrict reduction in the accuracy of image formation onto a recording material is provided. An image-forming apparatus includes an image-former that discharges ink to a conveyed recording material; a recording-material heating unit that is disposed in an upstream side of the image-former; a chassis that covers the recording-material heating unit; and a shielding member that is disposed between the chassis and the image-former and shields inflow of air, which is discharged from a recording-material outlet, into the image-former.
Printer, control method, and non-transitory computer-readable medium
A printer includes a head, a lamp, a first sensor, and a processor. The head is configured to eject photocurable ink onto the object to be printed supported by a platen. The lamp is configured to irradiate light onto the object to be printed on which the ink is ejected. The first sensor is provided inside the printer, and is configured to detect a temperature inside the printer. The processor causes the first sensor to acquire the temperature inside the printer. The processor acquires, based on the print data, a duty ratio indicating a printing ratio when ejecting the ink onto an ejection region of the object to be printed. The processor sets an illuminance of the light irradiated by the lamp, based on the temperature acquired by the first sensor and the acquired duty ratio.
INK, INK SET AND PRINTER
An ink contains a medium, a coloring agent, a fixing polymer, and one or more kinds of polymers other than the fixing polymer. The coloring agent is dissolved or dispersed in the medium. The fixing polymer has a glass-transition temperature higher than the ordinary temperature and is dispersed in the medium. The one or more kinds of polymers each have a glass-transition temperature higher than the ordinary temperature and are dissolved or dispersed in the medium. The fixing polymer is higher in glass-transition temperature than 80 mass % or more of the one or more kinds of polymers contained in the ink and each having a glass-transition temperature higher than the ordinary temperature.
Imaging system having heating area data for a recording medium
An imaging system includes a liquid discharge device, a heating device, and a cassette. In the imaging system, the cassette includes a holder to hold a recording medium and a storage device to store heating-area data indicating a heating area of the recording medium to be heated before an image is printed on the recording medium. Moreover, in the imaging system, the liquid discharge device includes a printing device to discharge liquid onto the recording medium held by the holder to print the image on the recording medium and a writing device to write liquid discharge region data to the storage device, the liquid discharge region data indicating a liquid discharge region of the recording medium onto which the liquid is discharged by the printing device. Further, in the imaging system, the heating device includes a heater to heat the heating area of the recording medium.
Medium heating device which intermittently applies heat to a contact heater and an infrared heater
In a medium heating device, a medium is conveyed along a conveyance path. A first contact heater contacts a back surface of the medium. A second contact heater is disposed downstream from the first contact heater in a conveyance direction of the medium and contacts the back surface of the medium. A non-contact heater faces the second contact heater across the conveyance path and heats a front surface of the medium at a position separated from the medium on the conveyance path. In an operation period in which the medium is intermittently conveyed on the conveyance path, circuitry supplies power to each of the first contact heater, the second contact heater, and the non-contact heater to generate heat, and the power supplied to the second contact heater is smaller than the power supplied to the first contact heater.
Vinyl substrate printing
The present disclosure relates to vinyl substrate printing. In an example, a vinyl printing apparatus is disclosed wherein the apparatus comprises a media path to convey a vinyl substrate along a feed direction from a substrate supply to a print zone; an inkjet printhead to print on the print substrate at the print zone; and a heater upstream of the print zone to heat the print substrate to evaporate a plasticizer from a surface of the print substrate.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes a supplier and an inkjet head. The supplier supplies, to a medium to be printed, a dye-transfer suppression agent that suppresses a dye or a pigment dyeing chemical fibers constituting the medium to be printed from transferring to a print surface formed on the medium to be printed. At least one of a platen on which the medium to be printed is placed or the supplier is moved to supply the dye-transfer suppression agent to the medium to be printed. The inkjet head ejects ink for forming the print surface to an area to which the dye-transfer suppression agent is supplied.
