Sheet processing apparatus
A sheet processing apparatus includes first and second sheet processing modules, a connecting module, and a storage module. In each of the first and second sheet processing modules, a sheet received from an entrance port is identified by an identifying unit, and if the sheet is qualified, the sheet is transported to a first communication port through a first transport path. In the connecting module, a first diverter mechanism is configured to permit sheet transport between a second communication port and a selected one of the first and second sheet processing modules. The storage module is disposed for receiving and storing the sheet from the connecting module.
Web Transport Control Device
A web transport control device having a plurality of rotary frame units each of which includes a carrier frame, a rotary frame parallel thereto and carrying an input roller and an output roller for a material web, and pivotably supported on the carrier frame, a web guiding system arranged such that each of the material webs is fed to one of the input rollers, deflected thereat and then deflected again at the output roller, wherein the rotary frame units are nested one in the other such that web sections of the webs that extend between respective input and output rollers are parallel to one another and the spacing between two neighboring web sections is not larger than the sum of diameters of the input and output rollers, and the input rollers are offset relative to one another in the direction parallel to the web sections.
SHEET STACKING APPARATUS
A sheet stacking apparatus includes a sheet alignment mechanism configured for aligning a sheet in a predetermined reference position; a gripper arrangement configured to grip the aligned sheet at at least two spaced-apart points of the sheet and to release the sheet on a stack; and a holder configured to hold the sheet in position on the stack while the gripper arrangement releases the sheet. The gripper arrangement is movable along a predetermined trajectory for moving the sheet from the reference position to a stacking position.
Sheet media processing machines with re-feed prevention elements
There is disclosed a sheet media processing machine comprising a media inlet to receive sheet media along a feed direction from a first side of the machine and a media outlet to discharge sheet media along a discharge direction towards the first side of the machine. There is a feed mechanism to convey sheet media from the media inlet to the media outlet, and a re-feed prevention element disposed upstream of the media inlet with respect to the feed direction to inhibit recirculation of discharged sheet media along an external recirculation path between the media outlet and the media inlet. The re-feed prevention element is exposed to contact with sheet media and comprises an elastomer. There is also disclosed a feed guide comprising a re-feed prevention element, and a method in which such a feed guide is installed on a sheet media processing machine.
RECORDING APPARATUS AND RELAYING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes: a housing body in which a recording portion that performs recording is housed; a curved reversal path along a curve of which the medium, after the recording, is turned over to be guided to a position above the recording portion; a medium receiving tray that is provided over the recording portion at a position of horizontally overlapping with the housing body and receives the medium ejected through the curved reversal path; a relaying portion that is provided over the medium receiving tray at a position of horizontally overlapping with the housing body and sends the medium coming along the curved reversal path to an area horizontally outside the housing body; and a course switcher that switches a course of the medium beyond the curved reversal path to either the medium receiving tray or the relaying portion.
PAPER SHEET HANDLING MACHINE
A first transport path is put into a first state capable of transporting a paper sheet when a first portion and a second portion engage with each other, and put into a second state in which the second portion is swingable with respect to the first portion about a first swing axis extending in a direction orthogonal to a first direction and horizontal when engagement between the first portion and the second portion is released. A contact portion comes into contact with the second portion, thereby engaging the second portion with the first portion when a second unit in which the first transport path is in the second state is moved in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
PAPER CONVEYING DEVICE, IMAGE READING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A paper conveying device, used in a paper processing device to perform predetermined processing on paper, includes a conveying portion, a holding portion, a detection portion, and a control portion. The conveying portion conveys, in a conveying direction, the paper to a processing portion of the paper processing device. The holding portion is disposed downstream of the processing portion in the conveying direction and holds the paper processed by the paper processing device. The detection portion detects a change of an orientation of the paper held by the holding portion. The control portion releases the paper held by the holding portion in a case where an amount of the detected orientation change reaches a predetermined amount.
Medium conveyance device
A medium conveyance device includes a first loading base that has a first loading surface formed thereon and is movably supported on a main body, a second loading base that has a second loading surface formed thereon and is movably supported on the first loading base so that the second loading surface is positioned next to with the first loading surface and so that the second loading surface overlaps with the first loading surface, a mechanism that converts motion of the first loading base into motion of the second loading base so that the second loading base is arranged in a position corresponding to a position in which the first loading base is arranged, and an elastic member that is elastically deformed when the second loading base is not arranged in a position corresponding to a position in which the first loading base is arranged.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS
A sheet processing apparatus includes first and second sheet processing modules, a connecting module, and a storage module. In each of the first and second sheet processing modules, a sheet received from an entrance port is identified by an identifying unit, and if the sheet is qualified, the sheet is transported to a first communication port through a first transport path. In the connecting module, a first diverter mechanism is configured to permit sheet transport between a second communication port and a selected one of the first and second sheet processing modules.
