APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISINFECTING FLUIDS
A disinfection apparatus and method is provided for disinfecting a fluid. The apparatus elements define three internal container volumes. Fluid is introduced into an entry volume where its flow is conditioned to reduce splash and slow the fluid flow. The fluid is then channeled into a disinfection volume where a disinfection unit delivers a disinfection agent to the fluid. Finally, the fluid exits the apparatus through an exit volume. In one aspect, a sink-trap is disclosed in which wastewater liquid contacts a pair of diverters. The diverters have conditioned contact surfaces that slows and spreads the liquid flow and reduces liquid splash. The wastewater then passes through a UV chamber in which it is disinfected. The liquid then exits the sink-trap. Advanced self-cleaning apparatus are additionally disclosed to clean and disinfect the sink-trap and trapped wastewater. The entire apparatus operates under computer control.
Bath Water Recycling System
A water recycling system for reprocessing and reusing bathing water from a bath or shower. The bathing water recycling system treats and reuses water that overflows from a bathtub or shower pan. The used bathing water is captured and retained after use. The captured dirty water is then filtered and purified. The filtered and purified water can be redistributed back into the shower or bathtub for reuse alone or in combination with additional fresh water. The treated water may also be rewarmed prior to reuse. Unneeded greywater water is redirected to the drain for disposal.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR POINT OF USE WATER MODIFICATION
A water use management system may be installed in a setting that contains a primary infrastructure for water use to provide an alternate, modular infrastructure for water use. Fresh water used at various points of use, such as a shower or sink, may be modified by a point of use water conditioner. Water may be modified at the point of use based upon pre-configured routines or manual user selections. Treatments performed on the water may include quality treatments, such as modifying the pH or mineral content, and may also include experience treatments, such as the addition of scents, colors, carbonation, or health and beauty supplements. Additives used during treatment are provided in cartridges that may be inserted and removed from the water conditioner. Cartridges may self-identify when inserted, to aid in compatibility and usability determinations and recycling/recertification processes.

The present invention describes a water distribution system 1 comprising a water supply, a heating source 100, at least one temperature sensor, a flow path for water with a user outflow UO, and a control unit for operation of the water distribution system 1 said temperature sensor being connected to the control unit, wherein the control unit also is connected to at least one presence sensor PS arranged for the detection of presence of a human or animal body in physical proximity to the user outflow UO and/or in an outflow direction area from the user outflow UO and wherein the control unit is arranged to drive a hot water pasteurization procedure of at least a portion of the flow path and out from the user outflow UO based on a response or an indication of no presence of a human or animal body in physical proximity to the user outflow UO and/or in an outflow direction area from the user outflow UO.
WATER DISTRIBUTION UNIT FOR WATER RECIRCULATION SYSTEM
The present invention describes a system (1) enabling treating water from a water tank (3), which water tank (3) is arranged in a water distribution architecture also comprising one or more user units (8), said system (1) also enabling recycling of water or discarding of water not suitable to recycle, said system (1) comprising a water distribution unit (2), at least one water treating unit (6) and a sensor unit (7) arranged for measurement of at least water quality, said water distribution unit (2) comprising one common user unit inlet 9 connectable via piping to said one or more user units (8) on their used water output side; said water distribution unit (2) further comprising a contaminated water outlet (10); and said water distribution unit (2) further comprising at least one water recirculation port (1000) connectable via piping to the water tank (3) to enable flowing water between the water distribution unit (2) and the water tank (3); and wherein said at least one water treating unit (6) enables to treat water to increase the water quality thereof and where the sensor unit (7) is connected to a control unit, which, based on the measurement of the water quality, is arranged to decide if water should be recycled to the water tank (3) from the water distribution unit (2) or should be discarded via the contaminated water outlet (10) from the water distribution unit (2).
Photovoltaic distiller for the recycling of greywater to potable water
A low to medium output solar fluid evaporation/distillation system is described that is practical to manufacture using current photovoltaic solar panels or enhanced photovoltaic panels designed exclusively for this application. The system works in conjunction with a water feed in system that provides a minimum quality of water or other fluid to the distillation chamber. The system utilizes a warming envelope and can have optimized dielectric mirrors designed to enhance the water purity and increase output.
FLUID DEVICE
A fluid device includes: a flow main body including a side wall along a first axis and configured to flow a fluid from an inflow portion provided at one side of the first axis toward an outflow portion provided at the other side of the first axis; a plate provided at the other side of the first axis of the flow main body and having a first surface intersecting the first axis; a standing wall extending along the first axis from the first surface toward the one side of the first axis and having a length along the first axis shorter than the side wall; and an ultrasonic element disposed at an outer side of a collection region of the plate and configured to transmit an ultrasonic wave along the first axis when the standing wall and a region surrounded by the standing wall on the first surface are defined as the collection region.
Membrane filtration apparatus and process for reuse of industrial wastewater
Laundry, industrial or food processing wastewater is purified to the degree that it can be reused. Water quality is ensured through the final process of reverse osmosis (“RO”) which removes dissolved contaminants such as mineral hardness, soils and residual detergents. The process combines a ceramic tubular cross-flow membrane filter to remove the suspended solids, oils and greases ahead of the RO. The RO process employs high temperature, low fouling membranes. This enables the RO process to operate sustainably, i.e. without fouling, plugging or membrane degradation.
Grease trap with safety barrier
A grease trap for separating waste from wastewater includes a tank having an outer wall, bottom and open top. An inlet invert in the tank receives incoming wastewater, and an outlet invert removes water from the tank. The tank has a cover on the open top, and the cover has a hatch. A barrier spans a diameter of the open top below the cover and has an opening vertically below the hatch. A divider divides the tank into an upper chamber and a lower chamber and has a hole for allowing FOG into the upper chamber from the lower chamber, the hole being colinearly aligned with the hatch and the opening in the barrier.
