Lubricating compositions containing a carboxylic functionalised polymer and dispersant
The invention provides an oil of lubricating viscosity, a dispersant and an amine-functionalized additive, wherein the amine-functionalized additive is derived from an amine having at least 3 or 4 aromatic groups. The invention further relates to the use of the lubricating composition in an internal combustion engine.
Gun oil composition
A gun oil composition adapted specifically for the needs and requirements of modern firearms. The gun oil composition improves lubricity and gun performance under normal and extreme heat and pressure, minimizes and largely prevents the build-up of carbon and debris fouling on metal and non-metal components of the firearm, and substantially reduces cleaning time, while providing increased protection against environmental components such as dust, dirt and rust. The gun oil composition can include a base oil having at least a high viscosity index, an oil having at least a medium viscosity index with a detergent additive, a low viscosity penetrating oil, and a sulfurized ester.
ANTIWEAR COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF LUBRICATING DRIVELINE DEVICE
The present invention relates to an antiwear agent and lubricating compositions thereof. The invention further provides for a method of lubricating a driveline device application by employing a lubricating composition containing the antiwear agent.
MIXTURES OF FRICTION MODIFIERS TO PROVIDE GOOD FRICTION PERFORMANCE TO TRANSMISSION FLUIDS
Mixtures of friction modifiers provide excellent friction performance to transmission fluids, where the friction modifiers include an N-substituted oxalic acid bisamide or amide-ester containing at least two hydrocarbyl groups of 12 to 22 carbon atoms; and an amide or thioamide represented by R.sup.1R.sup.2NC(X)R.sup.3 where X is O or S, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are hydrocarbyl groups of at least 6 carbon atoms, and R.sup.3 is hydroxyalkyl group of 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a condensate thereof.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION
A lubricating oil composition provides improved anti-shudder performance by lubricating an automatic transmission or continuously variable transmission. The lubricating oil composition includes (a) one or more ashless dispersants; and (b) at least one acidic phosphorus compound. When the at least one acidic phosphorus compound is composed only of phosphoric acid, the lubricating oil composition additionally contains one or more neutral phosphorus compounds. The neutralization ratio of the (a) one or more ashless dispersants/the (b) at least one acidic phosphorus compound is 60 to 100%. The lubricating oil composition further includes at least one friction modifier.
Refrigerator oil and refrigerator working fluid composition
One aspect of the present invention is a refrigerating machine oil comprising a base oil, a dithiophosphoric acid ester, and a phosphonate ester.
LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION
A lubricating oil composition includes: a lubricating base oil; a component (A) that is a metal detergent having a base value of less than 100 mgKOH/g; a component (B) that is a metal detergent having a base value of 100 mgKOH/g or more; a component (C) that is a tertiary amine represented by a formula (1) below,

in which R.sup.1 is a hydrocarbon group having 4 carbon atoms or more, and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each are a hydrocarbon group having 4 carbon atoms or less; and a component (D) that is at least one of acid phosphate and acid phosphite.
Lubricant composition
A lubricating oil composition contains a lubricating base oil and components (A) to (D): (A) a primary amine; (B) a tertiary amine; (C) at least one of metal sulfonate, metal phenate and metal salicylate; and (D) at least one of acid phosphate and acid phosphite.
Continuously variable transmission fluid with extended anti-shudder durability
A lubricant composition comprising (a) an oil of lubricating viscosity; (b) at least two nitrogen-containing materials, comprising (i) at least one amide of the formula R.sup.3C(O)NR.sup.1R.sup.2 and (ii) at least one tertiary amine being represented by the formula R.sup.4R.sup.5NR.sup.6 where R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are alkyl groups of at least 6 carbon atoms and R.sup.6 is a polyhydroxyl-containing alkyl group or a polyhydroxyl-containing alkoxyalkyl group; (c) a functionalized dispersant component, and (d) at least one diallyl phosphite, provides good lubricant performance for a continuously variable transmission.
