PLEATED FILTER CARTRIDGE, BALLAST WATER TREATMENT DEVICE USING SAME, AND BALLAST WATER TREATMENT METHOD
A pleated filter cartridge includes a pleated filter that includes a filter base having folds that repeatedly form mountains and valleys and having a tubular shape whose axial direction is a ridge line direction of the folds, and fixing members disposed on an upper bottom portion and a lower bottom portion of the pleated filter. The pleated filter includes a reinforcing structure for folds in the mountains which are projecting portions projecting toward the outside of the tubular shape. The reinforcing structure includes both a resin-reinforcing structure including, as a reinforcing body, a resin that covers a surface of the base in the folds or a resin that is allowed to permeate in the base in the folds, and a member-reinforcing structure in which reinforcing members provided separately from the filter base are disposed so as to extend along the folds.
HOSPITAL OZONE FAUCET
A hospital faucet assembly is provided that includes an outlet adapted to direct a flow water stream into a sink. An ozone chamber is provided having a water inlet and a water outlet. A flow control valve is connected to the water inlet, and the water outlet is connected to the faucet armature. A sensor is provided which is adapted to control the flow control valve. An ozone generator is located within the chamber, and when a user activates the sensor, the valve opens allowing more water to enter the chamber and then travel out through the water outlet of the ozone chamber to the faucet armature which dispenses the water flow into the sink. A controller is provided and is connected to the control valve and the sensor. The controller is configured to run an automatic cycle on an occasional basis to flush the sink with ozone-rich water in order flush and/or disinfect water located in a trap of the sink drain, or provide other disinfecting functions.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SEPARATING AND/OR REMOVING WATER SOLUBLE ORGANICS FROM AQUEOUS STREAMS
Systems and methods for removing water soluble organics from an aqueous stream is provided. In one embodiments a system comprises an electro-oxidation unit comprising a titanium anode comprising a mixed metal oxide (MMO) coating, a titanium cathode, a channel between the anode and the cathode, and a power source configured to apply electricity across the channel.
Breakdown of fuel components and solvents in groundwater and contaminated soil
A system and method for remediation of polluted sites, implementing a combination of chemical and biological breakdown modes on the contaminating compounds. The system includes at least one reactor for production in situ of reagents required for the breakdown modes. The reactor includes at least three types of substantially independent electro-cells for production of Fenton reagents and dissolved oxygen. The method according to the invention includes utilizing at least one reactor which comprised of substantially independent electro-cells for producing reagents required for remediation of the polluted sites and a computerized controller loaded with data obtained from a site survey, measurements made by instruments and programmed sequence. The existing remediation techniques encounter in serious difficulties due to poor process control. Using the system according to the present invention allows control of the parameters and acceleration of the remediation process.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CAPABLE OF SELECTING OPTIMAL PLANT CULTIVATION METHOD
A system capable of selecting an optimal plant cultivation method mainly includes a plurality of water supply units, a water treatment unit, a plurality of nutrition units, a reactor, a plurality of gas supply units, a liquid storage unit, at least three growth boxes, an information device. A method capable of selecting an optimal plant cultivation method allows participants of a competition in every place of the world to operate the same greenhouse facilities together at the same time, and grow the same plant or a several types of plants at the same time, latitude and location. But, every participant themselves may use the facilities provided in the greenhouse to adjust and control other growing conditions, environmental factors, cultivation methods and nutrition formulas, and the best cultivation method and nutrition formula are selected, thereby finding out the best cultivation method of the plant when the competition is over.
OZONE DISTRIBUTION IN A FAUCET
A faucet for dispensing a fluid includes a spout, a pull-out spray head removably coupled to the spout and including an outlet, and a valve assembly in fluid communication with the outlet. Additionally, the faucet includes a fluid treatment assembly configured to output a treatment into the fluid.
OZONE GENERATORS, METHODS OF MAKING OZONE GENERATORS, AND METHODS OF GENERATING OZONE
An electrolytic ozone generator includes an anode with a longitudinal edge, a cathode with a longitudinal edge spaced apart from the cathode, and an isolator. The isolator electrically separates the cathode from the anode and is semi-impermeable. The anode and cathode are impermeable for generating ozone in a flow area fluidly coupling longitudinal edges of the anode and the cathode. Ozone water apparatus, methods of making electrolytic ozone generators, and methods of generating ozone using electrolytic ozone generators are also described.
Water treatment device and humidification device
A water treatment device includes: an insulating divider which divides a space inside a water tank into two treatment vessels adjacent to each other in a horizontal direction, and includes a current carrier which is able to energize water in the two treatment vessels; a treatment unit including a pair of electrodes, a power supply, and a power supply controller; a water supplier which supplies water to each of the treatment vessels; and a draining member which drains water from each of the treatment vessels. The treatment unit includes a detector which detects a level of water in each of the treatment vessels based on an index corresponding to a current value between the pair of electrodes.
Fixture sanitizer
A sanitizer for sanitizing various plumbing fixtures and specifically, to a chemical-free sanitizer, more specifically to an ozone-free sanitizer, and yet more specifically to an electronic sanitizer using ions.
Method for sludge-reduced electrocatalytic reduction-oxidation pretreatment of nitrotoluene production wastewater
Embodiments herein relate to methods for sludge reduction for pretreatment of nitrotoluene wastewater using electro-catalytic redox. The embodiments may include (a) adjusting a pH of the nitrotoluene wastewater to 1.5 to 2.0, standing for precipitation, draining sludge of the nitrotoluene wastewater at the bottom, obtaining supernatant of nitrotoluene wastewater, placing the supernatant through a cathode inlet into a cathode chamber of an electrochemical reactor; (b) performing electrochemical treatment, wherein reduction reaction of the supernatant of the nitrotoluene wastewater takes place at the cathode chamber, the nitrotoluene wastewater is placed into the anode chamber for oxidation reaction through the cathode outlet, the catholyte tank, and the anode inlet in sequence; (c) adjusting the nitrotoluene wastewater treated in step (b) via the anolyte tank, and then discharging the nitrotoluene wastewater into a biochemical system. The embodiments reduce toxicity of mixed acid nitration wastewater and therefore improve its biodegradability.
