Yarn manufactured from recycled mixed clothing fibers and a process of making yarn manufactured from recycled mixed clothing fibers. Upcycled yarn has approximately 70%-95% of fiber from separated used clothes fibers, whereby separated used clothes fibers have cotton, polyester, nylon, silk, rayon, spandex, synthetic fibers, wool, hemp, carbon fibers, and/or linen. The upcycled yarn also has approximately 5%-30% other fibers that can be recycled fibers and/or virgin fibers, whereby the recycled fiber is recycled polyester from recycled plastic bottles and other sources, recycled cotton, recycled nylon from fishing nets and other sources, and the virgin fiber is nylon, spandex, virgin polyester, hemp, carbon fiber, and/or organic cotton.

NONWOVEN WITH AN EMBOSSED MESH PATTERN

A nonwoven includes: framework fibers; an at least in part fused thermoplastic material; and a thermally embossed mesh pattern having a plurality of intersecting embossed grooves, between which a plurality of embossed elevations are arranged. At least the framework fibers are staple fibers. An equivalent diameter of the embossed elevations is smaller than 50% of a fiber length of the framework fibers. A ratio of a width of the embossed grooves to a thickness of the nonwoven in a region of the embossed elevations is less than or equal to 4/5 A ratio of the width of the embossed grooves to a thickness of the nonwoven in a region of the embossed grooves is from 0.5 to 2.

NON-WOVEN FABRIC FOR PRIMARY CARPET BACKING AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

The present disclosure relates to a nonwoven fabric for primary carpet backing and a method for manufacturing same, the non-woven fabric having different colors on the two sides thereof and improved mechanical property. A mechanically deformed nonwoven comprising a plurality of protrusions extending outwardly from a first surface of the nonwoven and having openings c corresponding to the protrusions in a second surface of the nonwoven. The nonwoven has a Horizontal Bending Drop at 100 mm of at least 75 mm and a Z-Compliance Index of at least 50 mm.sup.3/N. The nonwoven can be used in absorbent articles such as diapers as an acquisition layer between the absorbent core and the backsheet and/or as a masking layer between an absorbent layer core and the backsheet.

Systems and methods of filtering particulate matter from a fluid are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a system for filtering particulate matter from a liquid comprises a filter having a filter housing, inlet and outlet ports, and compressible filter media with synthetic fibers. Further, the filter media is disposed in the housing between the inlet and outlet ports and is operable to filter particulate matter from the liquid. Also, a pressure difference between the inlet and outlet ports with the filter media disposed in the housing is no more than four pounds per square inch differential. In addition, the system includes a pump that is operationally coupled to the filter and operable to move the liquid through the filter media with a flux rate of at least eighteen gallons per minute per square foot of the filter media while operating at less than one electrical horsepower.
