20170282050 · 2017-10-05 ·

Some embodiments disclosed herein provide an apparatus for joining two skis to form a splitboard. The apparatus can comprise a first attachment portion configured to attach to a first ski and a second attachment portion configured to attach to a second ski. The first attachment portion and the second attachment portion can be configured to engage to prevent splitboard skis from moving up and down relative to each other, from moving apart in a direction perpendicular to a seam of the splitboard, from sliding relative to each other in a direction parallel to the seam, and from rotating about the seam of the splitboard.

Snow rider

The Snow Rider provides two separate platforms, each equipped with a pair of truck mounted skis, interconnected via a centerline articulated spar. Each platform undergoes an angle change before articulating with the trucks. This angle change is referred to herein as the truck angle, which determines the degree to which the skis turn relative to the long axis of the Snow Rider for a given amount of rotation of the platform about the centerline. The trucks translate leaning by the rider into a redirection of the skis, which through the use of ski riser mechanisms between the platforms and skis, are simultaneously rotated about their long axis to get the skis up on edge and in contact with the snow.

Sliding device for sliding on snow

Sliding device (1) for sliding on snow, whereby the sliding device (1) includes at least two skis (2) that extend in a longitudinal direction (L), whereby the at least two skis (2) are mounted next to one another and parallel to one another, whereby the at least two skis (2) are tiltable around separate horizontal axes of rotation (H) that are parallel to the longitudinal direction of the skis (2), whereby the sliding device (1) includes at least one support (7) that is rotatable around a vertical shaft (9), whereby the sliding device (1) is provided with a transmission (10, 11, 12) to convert a rotation movement of the support (7) around the vertical shaft (9) into a tilting movement of the skis (2) around their respective axes of rotation (H).

Splitboard binding systems and assemblies for use in ski mode or snowboard mode. Left and right bottom rails are attached to the bottom surface of a base plate. Each rails may have a circular hook at a forward end for attachment to a toe bracket in a ski mode. The rails and base plate define channels for slidable attachment to pucks disposed on the gliding board in snowboard mode. A securing lever disposed near the rear end of the binding with a securing member disposed on the lower surface thereof may be rotated into a downwards position so the securing member resides below the base plate to secure the binding in position when installed on pucks in a snowboard mode. Crampon assemblies and sliding heel locks for use with the binding assembly are aso disclosed.
