20230323912 · 2023-10-12 · ·

A breakaway threaded fastener is provided that includes a hollow stud, a pin, and a cap. The stud has a hollow cavity, a closed end, an open end with an upper surface, a wall, and an outer surface, which includes an external thread. The pin is in the hollow cavity with a first end at the closed end of the hollow stud and a second end proximate the open end of the hollow stud. The cap has another hollow cavity with a closed end, an open end, an inner surface, and an internal thread. The cap is threadably engaged to the open end of the hollow stud via the internal and external threads so that the second end of the pin abuts the inner surface of the cap with a gap remaining between the upper surface of the hollow stud and the inner surface of the cap.

A portable light may comprise: a light body for receiving a source of electrical power; a light source for producing light when energized; and a switch assembly for selectively coupling the source of electrical power with said light source for energizing the light source to produce light. The portable light may have a light head and a pivot assembly including a pivotable joint for pivoting the light head towards and away from the light body and a rotatable joint for rotating the light head relative to the light body; and/or may have a handle assembly coupled to the light body by a handle pivot so as to be pivotable away from and toward the light body. A releasable latch assembly that retains the handle housing adjacent the light body may be provided.

Sleeve assembly for shear wrench tool

A sleeve assembly for a shear wrench tool including an output sleeve configured to mate with a nut to facilitate winding of the nut onto a threaded bolt and having a plurality of circumferentially arranged locking features for interlocking with those of a transmission sleeve. A transmission sleeve for transferring torque between the output sleeve and at least one feature of a shear wrench tool transmission section. The transmission sleeve has a first set of circumferentially arranged locking features for interlocking with the locking features of the output sleeve and a second set of circumferentially arranged locking features for cooperating with a locking sleeve. A locking sleeve coupled to the output sleeve in a manner which permits the locking sleeve to rotate between first and second rotational positions relative to the output sleeve.

Shear wrench tool

A shear wrench tool including an electric motor having a motor output shaft, a transmission having a plurality of planetary gear stages and an output section having first and second output sleeves the first output sleeve being configured for mating with a nut and the second output sleeve being configured for mating with a tip of a bolt to be sheared, wherein the electric motor is configured to provide torque via the transmission to the output section for causing the first and second output sleeves to be rotated in opposite directions relative to each other in use, and wherein the electric motor, the transmission and the output section are arranged in an axial sequence one after the other such that the first and second output sleeves circumferentially extend coaxially around the same axis that the motor output shaft and the planetary gear stages rotate about.

Mill liner installation

The present disclosure relates to a method for use in installation of a mill liner, the method including (a) retaining a mounting bolt at least partially within a liner opening extending through the mill liner, (b) positioning the mill liner against a mill shell so that the retained mounting bolt is aligned with a mill shell opening extending through the mill shell, (c) selectively coupling an extraction tool to the mounting bolt, the coupling performed by an operator outside of the mill shell, (d) detaching the mounting bolt from the liner using the extraction tool; (e) pulling the mounting bolt through the mill shell opening so that at least a portion of the mounting bolt protrudes outside of the mill shell, and, (e) securing a fastener onto the mounting bolt to thereby attach the mill liner to the mill.

Expanding retention locking plug

An engine assembly for use with a gas turbine engine includes a first component, a second component, and a retention locking plug. The first component is formed to define a passage that extends into the first component. The second component is received in the passage defined in the first component. The retention locking plug extends into the first component and the second component to couple the second component with the first component.

AIRCRAFT COMPONENT COUPLING ASSEMBLY AND COUPLER FOR AIRCRAFT COMPONENTS

An aircraft component coupling assembly includes first and second plate structures placed and a coupler coupling the first and second plate structures. The first plate structure includes a first insertion hole and a first serration located on a first outer surface of the first plate structure and surrounding the first insertion hole. The second plate structure includes a second insertion hole differing in inner diameter from the first insertion hole. The coupler includes: a contact structure including a second serration and a third insertion hole; a shaft structure being fixedly engaged with one of a second outer surface the second plate structure and a third outer surface of the contact structure; and a pressing structure engaged with the shaft structure and pressing an other of the second outer surface of the second plate structure and the third outer surface of the contact structure.
