STEVIA COMPOSITION
Stevia compositions are prepared from steviol glycosides of Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni. The compositions are able to provide a superior taste profile and can be used as sweetness enhancers, flavor enhancers and sweeteners in foods, beverages, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
CAPSULE CONTAINING PURE (ABOUT 100%) STEVIA EXTRACT
A capsule containing a single ingredient which is 100% pure stevia extract in tamped powder form. The content of the capsule has a sweetness which is equivalent to the sweetness of a sugar cube or a tablespoon of sugar. The stevia extract is obtained by a process comprising a step of tamping bulk 100% pure stevia extract powder and inserting the tamped powder into the capsule.
Sweetened consumer goods comprising exogenous flavor sources and color
The present invention is directed to sweetened consumer goods that closely match the sweetness, caloric and satiety sensations of the sucrose-containing or high fructose corn syrup-containing consumer goods which are currently available to consumers. Reduced sugar versions of consumer goods may also be generated. The sweetened consumer goods of the invention assist to ameliorate various disease conditions such as fatty liver disease and metabolic disease associated with fructose contained in presently available consumer goods.
KAURENOIC ACID HYDROXYLASES
The present invention relates a polypeptide having kaurenoic acid 13-hydroxylase activity, which polypeptide comprises an amino acid sequence which, when aligned with a kaurenoic acid 13-hydroxylase comprising the sequence set out in SEQ ID NO: 1 or SEQ ID NO: 3, comprises at least one substitution of an amino acid corresponding to any of amino acids at positions 136, 248, 336 or 403, said positions being defined with reference to SEQ ID NO: 1 or SEQ ID NO: 3 and wherein the polypeptide has one or more modified properties as compared with a reference polypeptide having kaurenoic acid 13-hydroxylase activity. A polypeptide of the invention may be used in a recombinant host for the production of steviol or a steviol glycoside.
SWEETNER FORMULATIONS AND USES
The present disclosure generally provides compositions of non-caloric or low-caloric sweeteners, as well as the use of such compounds to sweeten various food and beverage products. In some embodiments, the compositions disclosed herein improve the taste of non-caloric or low-caloric sweeteners by imparting a more sugar-like taste or characteristic. In particular, the compositions provide a more sugar-like temporal profile, including sweetness onset and sweetness linger, or a more sugar-like flavor profile.
BUCCAL MICRO-EFFERVESCENT TABLET AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
Provided is a buccal micro-effervescent tablet and preparation method thereof. The buccal micro-effervescent tablet comprises a nutrient, a sugar alcohol, an acid source, an alkali source, magnesium stearate, an essence and a sweetening agent, wherein the sugar alcohol is lactose, maltitol, sorbitol, isomaltitol, mannitol, erythritol or any combination thereof; the sweetening agent is sucralose, aspartame, stevioside, fructose, granulated sugar, mogroside or any combination thereof. The micro-effervescent tablet may cause micro effervescence reaction under the action of saliva in mouth.
LIQUID CREAMER
The present invention relates to creamers for food products such as coffee and tea. In particular, the invention relates to a liquid creamer comprising casein based protein, pea protein, gellan gum, bicarbonate, citrate and oil. Further aspects of the invention are a beverage comprising a liquid creamer and a process for preparing a liquid creamer.
Production of steviol glycosides in recombinant hosts
The invention relates to recombinant microorganisms and methods for producing steviol glycosides and steviol glycoside precursors.
HIGH-PURITY RUBUSOSIDE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING OF THE SAME
The invention provides a process of producing Rubusoside from steviol glycosides of Stevia rebaudiana plant. The process is useful for producing high purity Rubusoside with purity greater than 95% (dry basis). High purity rubusoside is useful as in combination with other caloric and non-caloric sweeteners as well as non-caloric sweetener in various food and beverage compositions. The high purity rubusoside is useful as non-caloric sweetener in edible and chewable compositions such as any beverages, confectionaries, bakeries, cookies, chewing gums, and alike.
SUGAR SUBSTITUTE COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING DIGESTION RESISTANT SOLUBLE FIBER
Sugar substitute compositions comprise natural ingredients that provide added human health benefits and properties and characteristics of sugar, without the caloric content and glycemic index of sugar. Unlike artificial sweeteners, the sugar substitute compositions contain no chemicals or synthetic additives and taste and function like sugar. Specifically, the sugar substitute compositions comprise digestion resistant soluble fiber comprising an oligosaccharide matrix of glucose and/or fructose oligomers, which yield the sugar substitute digestion resistant property and allow it to simultaneously enhance the growth of beneficial bacteria in the human gut. In one particular embodiment, the sugar substitute comprises a digestion resistant soluble fiber, Luo Han Guo extract, and a flavor masking agent comprising Oryza sativa (rice) extract. In another embodiment, the sugar substitute comprises a digestion resistant soluble fiber, Luo Han Guo extract, a flavor masking agent comprising Oryza sativa (rice) extract, and a steviol glycoside.
