A device for the non-destructive probing of a sample by means of electromagnetic wave reflection includes a metal body as part of its frame. The metal body forms a lateral wall and a separating wall enclosing an interior space. On a first side of the metal body, a shielding structure forms a plurality of shielded chambers for receiving RF circuitry. Interior space faces the second side of the metal body. A first circuit board containing driver and receiver circuitry is mounted to the first side of the metal body, and a second circuit board containing an antenna structure is mounted to the second side thereof.

Radar based sensing for retail applications

A radar system for monitoring shelves in a retail environment, where the system monitors the occupancy of the shelves and/or the dynamics of the customers in front of the shelves. The radar is preferably a wideband 3D imaging MIMO radar.

There is disclosed a probe used with a measurement instrument including a pulse circuit for generating pulses. A coaxial connector is secured to the probe case so that the probe case is electrically connected to the ground shield. A center rod has a top end received in the probe case and to extend into a process liquid. The center rod is electrically connected to the center terminal for conducting the pulses. Ground rods are spaced around the center rod and are secured to the probe case. The probe provides an open configuration less susceptible to build-up between the center rod and the ground rods. One or more of the ground rods may by tubes, connected to a flushing port, with nozzles for cleaning the enter rod. Another ground rod may be tubular for carrying a conductor connected to a bottom of the center rod for bottom-up measurement.

COMPOSABLE RADAR

A modular radar system comprises an antenna assembly, a support structure to which the antenna assembly is mounted, and a set of modular radar subsystems. The antenna assembly comprises an antenna array, an antenna enclosure to which the antenna array is attached and which is configured to house the antenna array and to distribute communications signals and power signals to the antenna array, and an antenna enclosure interface configured to receive inputs to and provide outputs from, the antenna array. The support structure positions the antenna array at an orientation and elevation for antenna operation. The set of modular radar subsystems is separate from the support structure and in operable communication with the antenna enclosure interface and comprises a data processing subsystem, a cooling subsystem, and an AC power subsystem supplying power to the antenna enclosure, the data processing subsystem, the cooling subsystem and to a DC power conversion subsystem.

FIELD-AWARE METAL FILLS FOR INTEGRATED CIRCUIT PASSIVE COMPONENTS

An integrated circuit includes a passive component having a first metal feature and a second metal feature, the first metal feature and the second metal feature defining an interior area therebetween. The integrated circuit also includes set of spaced metal fill lines extending across the interior area and oriented to carry current orthogonal to current carried by the first metal feature and second metal feature.

Vehicle radar system with radar embedded into radome

A radar sensing system for a vehicle includes a radar sensor disposed at the vehicle so as to sense exterior of the vehicle. The radar sensor includes a plurality of transmitters that transmit radio signals and a plurality of receivers that receive radio signals. The received radio signals are transmitted radio signals that are reflected from an object. A processor is operable to process an output of the receivers. The radar sensor includes a printed circuit board having circuitry disposed thereat. The radar sensor includes a radome. At least some of the antennas are embedded or encapsulated in the radome.

External sensor attachment portion structure

In an external sensor attachment portion structure of the present invention, an external sensor includes: a sensor main body including a detection unit that detects external information; a sensor attachment bracket used to attach the sensor main body to a vehicle body frame member; and a sensor garnish including a window portion through which the detection unit is exposed in front view. The sensor garnish is provided on an outer side of the host vehicle so as to expose the detection unit of the external sensor and cover the sensor main body and the sensor attachment bracket excluding the detection unit. Small gaps are provided between the sensor main body and a window frame of the window portion in the sensor garnish. The window frame includes a noise suppression portion that suppresses wind noise due to airflow passing through the gaps along a rearward direction of the host vehicle.

Heat exchanger rib for multi-function aperture

Phased array antennas, such as a multi-function aperture, are limited in performance and reliability by traditional air-cooled thermal management systems. A fuel-cooled multi-function aperture passes engine fuel through channels within the ribs of the multi-function aperture to provide better heat transfer than can be achieved through air cooled systems. The increased heat transfer and thermal management results in a multi-function aperture with improved performance and reliability.

HEATABLE PLASTICS COMPONENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING

A method for manufacturing a heatable plastic component for a motor vehicle, which includes: providing a planar heating film, which has a first surface and a second surface that faces away from and is opposite the first surface, including at least one heating wire and connecting elements; introducing the planar heating film into an injection mold; mounting a connector housing onto the connecting elements; and back-molding the first surface with a plastic for manufacturing a first partial element of the heatable plastic component in the injection mold. In order to provide an improved method for manufacturing a heatable plastic component, it is proposed that a back-molding of the second surface with a plastic for manufacturing a second partial element of the heatable plastic component in the injection mold takes place such that a composite is formed from the first partial element, the planar heating film and the second partial element.
