A connector includes a housing and a release button. The housing defines a recess for receiving a latch member of a receptacle. The release button is operable to cause displacement of the latch member from the recess and has a surface that aligns with a surface portion of the housing when disconnected from the receptacle. The surface of the release button protrudes from the surface portion of the housing when the connector is connected to the receptacle to provide a visual indication that the connector is connected to the receptacle.

METHODS AND MECHANISMS FOR MONITORING CHARGING PORT FUNCTIONALITY

A vehicle configured to execute one or more methods for detecting function of a charging receptacle during a charging cycle. The methods include supplying a charging current through the pins; monitoring a pin temperature of the pins during the charging current; and applying a first step function to the charging current. The methods may also include monitoring a first step change in the pin temperature during the first step function; comparing the first step change in the pin temperature to a first expected temperature change to create a first deviation; and comparing the first deviation to a predetermined threshold. If the first deviation exceeds the predetermined threshold, signaling a maintenance alert, and if the first deviation is less than the predetermined threshold, logging the first deviation.

System for transmitting electrical signals

A flexible and/or stretchable structural system for transmitting electrical signal between first and second rigid portions comprises a body structure and said first and second portions arranged to said body structure. The modulus of elasticity of said first portion is lower than the corresponding modulus of elasticity of said second portion. In addition the modulus of elasticity of said body structure is lower than the corresponding modulus of elasticity of said second portion. The system comprises also an interface portion, such as e.g. an electrically conducting fabric, textile or knit, which is arranged to said body structure and between said first and second portions. The interface portion electrically connects said first and second portions. The modulus of elasticity of said interface portion is lower than the corresponding modulus of elasticity of said second portion.

The detecting member includes deflectable and deformable resilient portions and the second housing includes an interfering portion for interfering with the resilient portions. The resilient portions have a deflected state attained by interfering with the interfering portion to be deflected and deformed, a returned state attained by being displaced in a return direction from the deflected state and a transition state for transitioning from the deflected state to the returned state. The interfering portion is provided with detection guiding portions. The detection guiding portions guide the detecting member to the detection position by sliding in contact with the resilient portions by a resilient restoring force of the resilient portions in the transition state of the resilient portions.

An electrical plug connector includes a plug connector housing, a locking member and a blocking member. The locking member is movable between a locking position and an unlocking position. In the locking position, the locking member is configured to prevent the plug connection from releasing and, in the unlocking position, the locking member is configured to allow it to be released. The blocking member is displaceable between a starting position and a blocking position. In the blocking position, the blocking member is configured to prevent the locking member from assuming the unlocking position. The blocking member is configured to strike a mating plug connector housing by shifting the plug connector housing relative to the mating plug connector housing, in such a way that the mating plug connector housing displaces the blocking member from the starting position into the blocking position counter to the plugging direction.
