SEWAGE TREATMENT SYSTEM USING MULTISTAGE LONG-FIBER FILTERING DEVICE, AND TREATMENT METHOD THEREOF
Provided are a sewage treatment system using a multistage long-fiber filtering device, and a treatment method thereof. The sewage treatment system uses at least one pressurized long-fiber filtering device and at least one submerged-type long-fiber filtering device to treat sewage by a direct filtration method. The pressurized long-fiber filtering device treats sewage by direct filtration, and the submerged-type long-fiber filtering device treats the sewage by concentrating backwashing water of filtered sewage and dehydrating and disposing of the backwashing water. The pressurized long-fiber filtering devices and the submerged-type long-fiber filtering devices are respectively provided in a modular including a plurality of the devices in a symmetrical structure to each other. Accordingly, as sewage is treated by direct filtration by using the pressurized long-fiber filtering device and the submerged-type long-fiber filtering device, greenhouse gases may be reduced without microbial treatment.
Diatomaceous earth filter apparatus and method
A method for removing diatomaceous earth and contaminants from a filter, and for filtering liquid using diatomaceous earth is provided. Embodiments of the method can include a washdown process, a backwash process, and a filtering process. Some embodiments can include one or more filter cartridges with cartridge tubes to increase flow during the backwash process. Some embodiments can also include a backwash sprayer to disturb contaminants during the backwash process.

FILTER APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MANAGING THE SAME
A method of managing a filter apparatus a filter apparatus positionable outside a washing machine and connectable to a drain device of the washing machine to filter water discharged from the washing machine, the method comprising: storing, by a server, information of the washing machine; registering, by the server, the filter apparatus in association with a user account based on receiving a registration request signal to register the filter apparatus; and transmitting, by the server, the information of the washing machine to the filter apparatus based on the filter apparatus being registered in association with the user account.

Apparatus for removing impurities from water or wastewater
An apparatus for removing impurities from water and/or wastewater and a method of installing a fluid distribution system in the apparatus. In the most preferred form of the invention, the fluid distribution system is an air scour system for directing air through the filter bed to assist in cleaning of the filter bed to remove impurities trapped in the filter bed during a service run. In the most preferred form, the method of installing the fluid distribution system in the filter bed is performed by imparting a force to the filter bed to permit the fluid distribution system to be installed in the filter bed without removing media. The fluid distribution system is preferably configured to permit the fluid distribution system to be readily installed in the filter bed and at an optimum orientation.
Extraction technique for recovering an organic solvent from a polyarylene sulfide waste sludge
Methods and systems are provided for recovering an organic solvent from a waste sludge generated during formation of a polyarylene sulfide. Methods include combining the waste sludge with a liquid extractant that extracts the organic solvent into a homogeneous liquid phase. Upon a temperature change, the homogeneous liquid phase can separate into an organic solvent-rich liquid phase and a liquid extractant-rich liquid phase. The two liquid phases can be separated and further processed if desired to further purify the recovered organic solvent. Methods can also include forming the polyarylene sulfide by a polymerization process and thereafter purifying a slurry of the polyarylene sulfide. A liquid washing product is formed as a result of the purification process, which can be subjected to a distillation process that forms an organic solvent-rich stream and the waste sludge.
