DISPLAY DEVICE AND DISPLAY METHOD OF THE SAME
According to one embodiment, when displaying an image on a display panel, projecting an image which is displayed on the display panel, inclining the image which is projected from the display panel at a predetermined angle of bend, and reflecting the image which is projected from the display panel via a prism and guiding the image to a projection surface, a display device corrects input picture image of the prism based on characteristics contrary to the chromatic aberration characteristics of the prism.
MULTI-SENSOR INTERIOR MIRROR DEVICE WITH IMAGE ADJUSTMENT
A vision system for a vehicle includes a forward viewing camera disposed at a mirror head of an interior rearview mirror assembly of the vehicle and having a forward field of view through the windshield of the vehicle. A sensor is disposed at the mirror head and determines a change in position of the mirror head relative to a mirror mount of the mirror assembly when the vehicle driver adjusts the mirror head. A control includes a processor operable to process image data captured by the forward viewing camera. Responsive to determination by the sensor of a change of position of the forward viewing camera relative to the mirror mount, the control selects an active sub-array of photosensors to provide an effective field of view of the forward viewing camera. The processor processes image data captured by the active sub-array of photosensors for a driver assistance system of the vehicle.
Floating-information display
A floating-information display includes a first quarter-wave retarder disposed on a side of an optical plate. A reflective polarizer is disposed between the first quarter-wave retarder and the optical plate. A first display is configured to transmit a first image along a first axis through the first quarter-wave retarder to the reflective polarizer. The reflective polarizer redirects the first image along a second axis through the first quarter-wave retarder toward a viewer. The first image appears to the viewer to be oriented normal to the second axis and at a first location. A second display is configured to transmit a second image to the optical plate. The second image is transferred through the first quarter-wave retarder along the second axis toward the viewer. The second image appears to the viewer to be oriented normal to the second axis and at a second location.
VEHICLE DISPLAY SYSTEM WITH USER INPUT DISPLAY
A display system for a vehicle includes an interior camera disposed in an interior cabin of a vehicle and having a field of view interior of the vehicle that encompasses an area at or near a user input for an accessory, with the user input being accessible by a driver of the vehicle when the driver is normally operating the vehicle. A display device is viewable by the driver when the driver is normally operating the vehicle. The display device is operable to display images derived from image data captured by said interior camera. The display device displays images depicting the driver's hand as the driver's hand approaches the user input for the accessory for actuating the user input to adjust or control the accessory.
Head up display combined with holographic element for driver monitoring
A head up display arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a picture generation unit producing a light field. An optical element reflects the light field such that the light field is visible to a human driver of the motor vehicle as a virtual image. A holographic film is attached to the optical element. A driver monitoring system senses infrared energy reflected by the holographic film.
CAB comprising an holographic human-machine interface and motor vehicle
A cab having a human-machine interface to generate a holographic image in order to control comfort equipment installed in the cab. The human-machine interface includes: a camera capable of capturing images representing a gaze of an occupant, one image generation unit having (a) a computer capable of calculating the position of the location of the occupant's gaze from the captured images, the computer being adapted to generate the digital holographic image according to the position of the occupant's gaze, (b) a spatial light modulator receiving the generated digital holographic image, and (c) a light source illuminating the spatial light modulator. The human-machine interface also includes a reflector reflecting the light beams emitted by the spatial light modulator into a visualizing window to form a holographic image positioned between the windscreen and the seat.
HEAD-UP DISPLAY APPARATUS
A head-up display apparatus projects a virtual image to be perceived by a user onto a virtual image display part provided in front of the user. The head-up display apparatus includes a display light emitting unit and a display light reflection unit. The display light emitting unit emits display light. The display light reflection unit reflects the display light and emits the reflected display light. The display light reflection unit includes a mirror part having a concave shape and a transmissive-type volume hologram part provided on a surface of the mirror part.
VEHICLE CAMERA WITH LOW PASS FILTER
A vision system for a vehicle includes a camera disposed at a vehicle and having a field of view exterior of the vehicle. The camera includes a lens and a pixelated imaging array having a plurality of photosensing elements. The camera includes a volume hologram disposed between the lens and the imaging array. The volume hologram may function as a spatial low pass filter with a steep filtering slope. An image processor is operable to process image data captured by the camera.
DEVICE FOR A COLOR-BASED DETECTION OF IMAGE CONTENTS COMPUTING DEVICE, AND MOTOR VEHICLE INCLUDING THE DEVICE
An apparatus for color-dependent detection of image contents includes a light input coupling apparatus, carrier medium, measuring region, output coupling region, and camera apparatus. The light input coupling apparatus includes a light source to emit light at a first wavelength. The carrier medium receives the light and transmits the light by internal reflection to the measuring region. The measuring region includes a first diffraction structure that outputs light at the first wavelength. The first diffraction structure is formed as a multiplex diffraction structure to input light in a second wavelength range. The output coupling region includes a second diffraction structure formed as a multiplex diffraction structure that outputs light at the first wavelength and the second wavelength range. The camera apparatus captures light output from the carrier medium to the camera apparatus, and provides the light in a form of image data which correlates with the light.
Vehicle display device
A vehicle display device includes a reflection-type hologram disposed inside a windshield of a vehicle, and a projection device including an image display device outputting a display light and a regulating unit configured to regulate a diffusion angle of the display light, and to project the display light having passed through the regulating unit onto the hologram. The hologram outputs the display light projected from the projection device as diffracted light directed to an eye range of the vehicle, and the regulating unit is configured to regulate the diffusion angle of the display light to an upper limit angle or less such that the display light reflected from the windshield is directed in a direction different from the eye range.
