SYSTEM FOR CORRECTLY TYING A DRESS TIE IN A SINGLE ATTEMPT
A system is provided that enables a wearer to tie a dress tie so that the ends thereof are of optimum length on the first try after a short, one-time practice session. Optimum length is assumed when the tip of large end of the tie is even with the center of the wearers belt buckle. The system necessitates creation of a line of dress ties that, except for the print design on the outer shell, are essentially identical with respect to thickness, width and length. In addition, all ties in the line must employ a dimensionally-stable internal backing fabric, to prevent stretching. Identical series of equally-spaced position markers are provided on each tie in the line so that a wearer can identify a proper starting point for beginning to knot the tie. Markers are embroidered or deposited on a portion of each tie.
Tie knot system and device
A tie knot system, including a necktie and a tie knot member with an interior and first and second upper apertures and a lower aperture, including an inner knot member positioned in the interior, such that a narrow tail of the necktie protrudes through the lower aperture and out of the first upper aperture and loops back via the second upper aperture and out of the lower aperture. The inner knot member can be made of a resilient material, have elongated openings, and can be folded and assembled from a tie knot sheet, including a bridge portion and left and right elongated portions.

MODULAR TIE-MAKING DEVICE
A modular tie-making device that is made of a tie-knot shaped manifold, the manifold capable of accepting a tie-knot fabric on the outside, and at the same time facilitating a tie to be guided through the manifold, resulting in a modular and fully personalizable tie. The device can be used to make two-toned ties or any combination of tie-knot and tie. The manifold is made of three tubes joined together at their ends. By following the geometry of the manifold, a user easily forms the two loops and hanging ends of a necktie.

PRACTICE BOW TIE ARTICLE, KIT, AND METHOD
Provided are articles, kits, and methods for teaching a person how to tie a bow tie. A practice bow tie includes an elongated piece of flexible material with indicators on the front and rear surface of the bow tie. The indicators, also provided in a kit, define a portion, fold line, or step that aid a user in tying a bow tie to achieve a satisfactory appearance.
Kit and method for facilitating tying a tie
Based on a person's neck size, torso length measured from the neck to the waistline, and a constant that depends upon the type of knot that will be tied, a position for attaching a marker on a rear surface of the tie can be determined. The marker then provides a reference point to indicate where a broader portion of the tie should cross over the narrower portion after the tie is looped around a person's collar. This approach ensures that the tie will always be tied with the correct length of the broad end hanging below the knot.
