A film is described comprising a first film layer having a Tg ranging from 30 C. to 60 C. The first film layer comprises a (meth)acrylic polymer and polyvinyl acetal polymer composition. The film further comprises a second layer proximate the first film layer. The second layer is different than the first film layer. The second may be a cured (meth)acrylic polymer film or coating; a backing such as thermoplastic polymer, woven or nonwoven fabrics, metal foils, paper, foams; or a coverfilm such as a fluoropolymer.
Fiber-reinforced composite material with improved fire resistance, and structural component made thereof
A fiber-reinforced composite material includes a bulk portion with a bulk matrix having reinforcing fibers embedded therein, and a surface portion with a plurality of laminated first layers serving as expanding layers, which expand and/or delaminate during fire impact. The surface portion also includes a plurality of laminated second layers different from the first layers and serving as barrier layers. The expanding layers and barrier layers can be arranged in an alternating sequence.

The mass proportions of the large-diameter particle group and the small-diameter particle group are each 15-60 mass %, and the total mass proportion of the large-diameter particle group and the small-diameter particle group is at least 50 mass %.

Releasable polyester high gloss metal transfer film
A carrier film of thermoplastic polyester has releasable metal adhesive properties suitable for a metal transfer in which the polyester film is metalized and the metal layer is subsequently transferred to a permanent adhesive-coated substrate. The metal layer is in direct contact with the polyester carrier film and no intermediate release layer is present. Desired metal adhesion is provided by dispersing an suitable surfactant, and optionally, a hydrocarbon wax, uniformly into the polyester film. Surfactant on the outer surface of the carrier film modifies metal adhesion to the polyester such that the metal can be removed in a metal transfer operation.
